First time Ice skating for Loïs after a month’s holiday in the Caribbean is a bit too cold in daddy’s opinion.

In the first two week we’ve done a couple of dives, throughout the dives I have been using CFWA setup with D700. 15mm Sigma and a Kenko teleconverter!

We are enjoying the weather, diving and beers!

Enjoying a sunny day in Williamsburg, NY with a good ol’ buddy!

Today Loïs enjoyed the fair in a nearby village Sassenheim. Together with grandpa and grandma she enjoyed the rides and festivities. Luckily her mom grabbed her a “Hello Kitty” from the Tombola.

Today, Marco and I did an early morning dive in Dreischor, de Grevelingen in order to check if everything is still working. Here’s a couple of shots of my all time favorite lobsters and shrimps.

We took some time during lunch to shoot some pictures at the beach in Noordwijk. In between business meetings we managed to enjoy some family time, which is the best!

Can’t wait to get to Bonaire in December!

Today is the best day of the year to shoot natural light UW pictures in the Netherlands, with the sun at it’s highest point between 11:30 and 13:00, and solar power “8″. Unfortunately I’m in the office today, maybe next year …

That’s what I wrote earlier this morning …

Luckily I found that, during lunch, in my backyard, this amazing thing was happening!

I found some Swans with siblings during my regular office lunch break. What a pleasant surprise it was that I had my underwater camera gear at hand.

Additionally, as things didn’t get any better than this, I confirmed our trip to Bonaire, from December 10th until January 4th, 2012.

Last night Rob and I did a dive in a fresh water lake nearby Amsterdam. The Vinkeveense plassen are famous for its good visibility and underwater life! Rob shot using his Nikon D300 + 12-24, and I used my Nikon D700 with a 16-35 lens.

I proudly present my portfolio of underwater images which I’ve been shooting ever since 2006. The collection shows a variety of animal life and reef structures in different locations around the world.

The Philippines is known for its amazing beaches, diverse marine life and spectacular reefs. But we may not live long enough to enjoy it because it is under attack.

A lot of plunder, corruption and plain irresponsibility is happening right now that is destroying this vast wealth underneath our seas. We should not let this happen.
